October 20, 1962- Major General Donald McGowan, the Chief of the National Guard Bureau and the other Reserve Component directors are given a Top Secret briefing in the Pentagon on the impending crisis following the discovery on October 18th of Soviet nuclear missile sites being constructed in Cuba. 
 
October 21, 1916- US Army formed Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC).
 
October 22, 1918-  The new Army Air Service (forerunner of the U.S. Air Force) was organized. 
 
October 23, 1998- An American brokered peace deal was reached at the Wye Plantation in Maryland between Yasser Arafat and Benjamin Netanyahu. 
 
October 24, 1944- “Ace of Aces” David McCampbell (1910-1996) and one other fighter faced 60 planes approaching US forces. 
 
October 25, 1983 - 1,800 U.S. Marines and Rangers, assisted by 300 soldiers from six Caribbean nations, invaded Grenada at the order of President Reagan, who said the action was needed to protect U.S. citizens there.
 
October 26, 1962- At the height of the Cuban Missile Crisis, second-in-command Vasilli Arkhipov of the Soviet submarine B-59 refused to agree with his Captain’s order to launch nuclear torpedos against US warships and setting off what might well have been a terminal superpower nuclear war.

Thank you for your participation with Veterans' Outreach's Mission!  As free Americans, it is our duty to "honor and serve" as many veterans as possible.  Over the last decade Veterans' Outreach has helped  veterans thousands of times.  The next decade we hope to help veterans over 100,000 times!  This ambitious directive lies in your hands and your heart.  Our members collective passion and team spirit will strengthen Veterans' Outreach Programs as we grow through our membership.  We thank you for your involvement and your support.  Our veterans need you...now and always!

Membership Drive

 Anyone can sign up to be a member. It is free! Everyone is automatically entered into a $25 monthly cash drawing.  If you would like to be a Sponsoring Member, you can pledge a weekly, monthly, or yearly offering.  You also can make a single donation. PayPal has many ways to set up payment for you, credit card(credit/debit) or electronic checking.

Membership Ranking

Veterans' Outreach would like to offer ranks for the strongest supporters, like the military does by offering promotions from Private to General. Your rank will reflect your strength as an ongoing supporter. Your rank will automatically change as your periodic donations accumulate, during the life of your membership. Member's Activity

Our site is a work in progress.  Members will be able to purchase unique products from our Depot.  You will be able to take part of our AUCTION where you can bid on items or have items bid on.  You will be able to download music from our Music Gallery, get involved with important topics, submit a story for our News Journal, visit our Internet WAR Museum, or post a loved one in our Tribute Hall .  Enjoy the site and we hope that you make it yours by becoming a member!
