September 1, 1977 - Bobby C. Wilks became the first African American in the Coast Guard to reach the rank of captain.
September 2, 1945-Aboard the USS Missouri in Tokyo Bay, Japan formally surrenders to the Allies, bringing an end to World War II.
September 3, 1777 - The American flag is flown in battle for the first time, during a Revolutionary War skirmish at Cooch’s Bridge, Maryland.
September 4, 1940 - American destroyer Greer becomes the first U.S. vessel fired on in the war when a German sub aims a few torpedoes at it, sparking heightened tensions between Germany and the United States. 
September 5, 1975 - In Sacramento, California, an assassination attempt against President Gerald Ford is foiled when a Secret Service agent wrests a semi-automatic .45-caliber pistol from Lynette “Squeaky” Fromme, a follower of incarcerated cult leader Charles Manson. 
September 6, 1901 - President William McKinley is shot at the Pan-American Exposition in Buffalo, New York. McKinley was greeting the crowd in the Temple of Music when Leon Czolgosz, an anarchist, stepped forward and shot the president twice at point-blank range.
September 7, 2002 - Pres. Bush met with British PM Tony Blair at Camp David, Md., to work out a strategy for taking action against Iraq’s Saddam Hussein.

Thank you for your participation with Veterans' Outreach's Mission!  As free Americans, it is our duty to "honor and serve" as many veterans as possible.  Over the last decade Veterans' Outreach has helped  veterans thousands of times.  The next decade we hope to help veterans over 100,000 times!  This ambitious directive lies in your hands and your heart.  Our members collective passion and team spirit will strengthen Veterans' Outreach Programs as we grow through our membership.  We thank you for your involvement and your support.  Our veterans need you...now and always!

Membership Drive

 Anyone can sign up to be a member. It is free! Everyone is automatically entered into a $25 monthly cash drawing.  If you would like to be a Sponsoring Member, you can pledge a weekly, monthly, or yearly offering.  You also can make a single donation. PayPal has many ways to set up payment for you, credit card(credit/debit) or electronic checking.

Membership Ranking

Veterans' Outreach would like to offer ranks for the strongest supporters, like the military does by offering promotions from Private to General. Your rank will reflect your strength as an ongoing supporter. Your rank will automatically change as your periodic donations accumulate, during the life of your membership. Member's Activity

Our site is a work in progress.  Members will be able to purchase unique products from our Depot.  You will be able to take part of our AUCTION where you can bid on items or have items bid on.  You will be able to download music from our Music Gallery, get involved with important topics, submit a story for our News Journal, visit our Internet WAR Museum, or post a loved one in our Tribute Hall .  Enjoy the site and we hope that you make it yours by becoming a member!
