Veteran Keeps Clean Payment Record
A local veteran called our Florida office to request much-needed help. His daughter had died some six weeks ago and he had been so wrapped up in covering final expenses and other allied requirements that he had run out of money.
On the advice of his VA caseworker, he called us to say that he had covered the past due but had no prospect of paying the most recent utility bill. Veterans’ Outreach stepped in and paid the bill. He has contacted us several times to reiterate how much it meant to him to have a clean payments slate.
